Our partner meetings are growing. We now have a need for communicating with up to 10 people from all around the globe at any one time. So far we have used a variety of solutions.
Sometimes we use Skype for audio but find it limiting with the amount of people you
can have in at one time.
Sometimes we use Apple's iChat which is fantastic (up to 9 people) especially when we hold up video conferencing (4 people), but not all schools are mac.
In our last meeting we found the holy grail!
If you haven't heard yet, let me introduce you to Flash Meeting. This tool is simply brilliant and brilliant because it is simple.
The interface can be learnt in seconds and is incredibly intuitive. Basically you get to see all your friends faces as they connect, you can text each other in a common window and one person at a time can speak. Should they say something that requires your comment you can 'put your hand up' (indicated by an hand sign) and when that person stops speaking you will pop up on screen and have your say. Really it does this and so much more but I will let you explore - Just take it from me, there is nothing better.
