After thanking Claudia and Lindy in the initial post it occurred to me how many people we have to thank. Decka (Lindy) has a hall of fame on her island thanking all those who contributed. She is full of nice ideas. So here I am following the lead. The list so far.
Barbara Stone - Principal MLC, for allowing us to 'Dare to be more' without leaders who are prepared to take a risk we would never find these new opportunities.
Claudia Linden - Spending time with newbies and working them through the many initial issues. Also thanks for listening to educators and pushing our wishes that one day it will be easy to collaborate between our islands and students.
Decka Mah (Lindy McKeown) - Providing an unbelievable amount of ideas and knowledge. Working with our kids and teachers, and constant messages, motivation and friendship. The podcast is coming.
Barry Joseph - Leading the way with Global Kids, being a guest speaker at my presentation, meeting with me and sharing his ideas of how to move forward. We have also done a great podcast that I will publish as soon as possible.
Maggie Marrat - (Peggy Sheehy) Extreme motivation, leading the way with a school model with Ramapo Island, again a podcast and linking us to some cool developers.
Peter Twining - Rushing back from Europe to make a podcast in Milton Keynes. Providing research about his Schome Project for us all to learn from and for being so approachable then and into the future.
Mike Denneney - Working with our students and moving then way past what I could teach them. Sharing his skills for a noble cause! Be motivated enough to help our where help is needed - thanks mate.
Chris Flesuris - Chris is a keen participating partner who has recruited the Modesto District and has come up with many creative ideas to enhance the site.
Our Students - Alice, Judy, Meg. Emily, Lucinda and Francesca. I am sure the list will grow but these talented kids have kept the pace up and the quality high.
Other Students - Outstanding contributions from Zac at Christ College and Geire from Modesto.
Our team - David Sirr, Peter Milburn, Bryce Lindstrom, Mary Occoner, for giving it a go and making our school have a presence. It takes courage to be the first! Also our Parents and Citizens association for backing us with the initial funds to give it a go.
